Wesley Hamilton, Founder/CEO of Disabled, But Not Really and "Queer Eye" season 4 cast member approached me in need of a design for his first gratitude journal! I was immediately intrigued by this opportunity and instantly reminded of a time I was driving to work one day back in 2017. I turned the radio to Hot 103 Jamz's The Morning Grind with Shay & Shyne show, and they were interviewing a man about his story of overcoming gun violence and trauma. What he shared brought me to tears. I didn't know who was speaking until several minutes into the show, and then I found out it was a local man named Wesley Hamilton. Fast forward to 2023 and I get the opportunity to be part of Wesley's collective healing effort through the Set the Tone gratitude journal! I love full circle moments.

The journal features 116 pages of pure inspiration, including a word from Wesley, insight on the practice of gratitude, a sample journal excerpt from Wesley, and 100 pages of daily prompts. The prompt pages feature quotes from various thought leaders in music, sports, wellness, literature and more.

While designing this journal, I prioritized Wesley's request for a product that would feel empowering, simple, to the point and gender neutral. In Wesley's words, "This journal was designed to foster a mindset of appreciation and empowerment and a journey toward positivity and growth."
